Barrel-fermented and with hints of mineral and apricot on the nose this wine is more delicate than most “new world” Chardonnay and resembles the relatively rare examples of sur lie Chablis. Medium acidity, notes of honey, pear, and apricot underlie hints of French oak and butter, making this a delicate and expressive example of Virginia Chardonnay. It can be enjoyed by itself or paired with lighter cheeses and fruits. Winner of 2015 Bronze Medal in Atlantic Seaboard Wine Competition. Winner of 2015 Silver in Indy International Wine competition and Bronze Medal in 2016 Virginia Governor’s Cup.
